This pattern is 107 stitches wide by 73 stitches tall.
On 14 count fabric is measures 7.75" (wide) by 5.25" (tall).
On 16 count fabric is measures 6.75" (wide) by 4.75" (tall).
On 18 count fabric is measures 6" (wide) by 4.1" (tall).
The models above were stitched on 32 count Antique White Linen by Zweigart with two strands of The Gentle Art floss over two threads of linen.
I recommend having fun with this pattern and picking three floss colors that you think would look good together - one to stitch the bird, one for the branches, and one for the thin plants with the berries. I found that stitching the bird in the darkest color and the branches in the lightest color worked best.
For my warmer toned stitched model, I chose Geranium, Orange Marmalade, and Buttercrunch (all from The Gentle Art).
For my cooler toned stitched model, I chose Black Raspberry Jam, Blue Jay, and Bluebell (all from The Gentle Art).
If you want more information on variegated floss, feel free to check out by post on how to use variegated floss for cross stitch. Currently at the time of writing this post, there are two brands of variegated floss on the Cross Stitching Supplies website -> The Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works.
I hope you are enjoying whatever you are stitching! Don't forget that you can have fun picking floss colors for many different cross stitch projects (changing colors for detailed, full coverage pieces may be more difficult).
Thanks for taking the time to read this post!
